Frana – Plifibre
Italian excellence in the production of synthetic staple fibres derived from recycled materials
Frana – Polifibre S.r.l., headquartered in Casnigo, in the province of Bergamo, is a long-established company active in the production of polyester staple fibres, mainly derived from recycled plastic materials.
With entrepreneurial roots dating back to the mid-19th century, Frana today stands out for its well-established know-how in the selection, blending and processing of raw materials, particularly recycled materials, which account for the predominant share of its production inputs.
Available in a wide range of deniers and colours, the staple fibres produced by the company are mainly used in the production of non-woven fabrics for several industrial sectors, including automotive applications (such as carpets, mats and insulation panels), healthcare applications (such as the ADL – Acquisition Distribution Layer – of nappies), and industrial applications (such as geotextiles, filtration and thermal and acoustic insulation).
